About the Role :
As our Data Solutions Lead, you’ll shape the future of Overdose.’s data infrastructure, transforming how we deliver insights and drive performance for our clients. You’ll spearhead the implementation of Looker Pro, design scalable data models in SQL and BigQuery and lead a team of specialists to power up self-serve reporting that fuels smarter decisions.
Working across Client Success, Marketing, SEO and CRO teams, you'll turn complex data into clear, actionable insights, leading strategy, innovation and growth for our clients. This is a leadership role where you’ll mentor, educate and push boundaries keeping Overdose. ahead of the curve in analytics and data storytelling.
Responsibilities :
Lead the architecture & implementation and adoption of Looker Pro, building scalable dashboards and semantic layers for internal and client use.
Design and manage SQL and BigQuery data pipelines to support accurate, privacy-compliant and consistent reporting.
Oversee data tracking implementations, dataLayer specifications, audits and A/B testing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Deliver strategic insights and recommendations by translating complex datasets into clear, actionable business outcomes.
Act as a key data advisor for clients, maintaining proactive communication and aligning analytics solutions with business goals.
Manage, mentor and support a high-performing team of Analytics & Tracking Specialists, fostering continuous development and collaboration.
Drive innovation by identifying and integrating new analytics tools and approaches to enhance reporting and decision-making.
Ensure accurate and timely time-tracking for yourself and your team to support project efficiency and transparency.
Work closely and collaboratively with our partners to continuously evolve our data practice.
Skills & Experience :
4+ years of experience in data science or data analytics
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with Google BigQuery.
Expertise in Google Tag Manager, dataLayer concepts, Google Analytics (Universal Analytics and GA4), Adobe Analytics, and Google Data Studio or similar platforms.
Understanding of CRO, including CRO research, and familiarity with A/B testing tools such as Convert, VWO, Shoplift or anything similar.
Strong understanding of data and conversion tracking for platforms such as Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and Bing Ads; experience with Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) to ensure privacy-compliant tracking.
Awareness of GDPR, CCPA and other privacy frameworks and their impact on data tracking.
Proficiency in implementing analytics tracking on e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Magento and BigCommerce.
Demonstrated experience delivering insights through BI tools such as Looker, Google Data Studio or Power BI to inform strategy and performance
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset for extracting valuable insights.
Experience in leading a team of data or analytics specialists, with a focus on collaboration, mentorship and driving team performance.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work under time pressures.
Bonus: Experience working with predictive modelling and forecasting tools such as Meta’s Robyn or Google’s Meridian to inform marketing and business strategies
Bonus: Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation.
