About the Role:

The Senior Project Manager is a crucial role for Overdose, responsible for leading multiple complex and/or enterprise projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget. Working with regional and offshore teams, stakeholders at various levels, this is a client-facing role best suited to someone who has a high degree of organisation, proven project management capability, and an interest in eCommerce.

A strong background in Shopify is essential, as this role requires someone who can confidently manage platform-specific requirements and collaborate effectively with development teams. The role also supports refining project management methodologies, solving complex challenges, and ensuring that projects align with client objectives and business growth.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the delivery of large-scale and complex eCommerce projects across platforms such as Shopify, Commercetools andMagentoy, ensuring projects meet both business and client goals.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and complex project delivery skills.
• Develop detailed project/sprint plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports by balancing the business needs with technical constraints.
• Manage projects using either waterfall or agile delivery models to execute plans and deliver within budget and schedule.
• Deliver requirements by understanding and balancing competing demands for programme scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality.
• Ensure the successful delivery of projects by upholding the highest standards of project management methodology, including effective communication with stakeholders, robust governance, and proactive risk and change management, while managing client relationships, solving complex issues, and mitigating risks to minimise disruption to timelines and quality.
• Run detailed scoping sessions with clients and internal teams to identify project deliverables and create project-specific documentation such as functional specifications and technical specifications.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through knowledge-sharing initiatives and mentoring junior team members on best practices and documentation.
• Support the implementation and refinement of project management methodologies and processes, contributing to the continuous improvement of practices within Overdose.

Skills & Experience :

• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) managing complex end-to-end eCommerce projects on platforms such as Commercetools, Magento, and Shopify.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) with hands-on project delivery experience.
• Excellent skills in managing budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities to proactively manage risks, resolve issues, and eliminate roadblocks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage client expectations and foster collaboration within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, effectively delegating tasks and driving project success.
• High level of adaptability and resilience to navigate changing project requirements and stakeholder needs.
• Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) and a degree in Project Management, Business, or IT (preferred).
• Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation and project records to ensure clarity and continuity.
