Digital Marketing Manager (part-time)

We're looking for a smart, passionate and motivated Digital Marketing Manager to join our fast-growing North America team. This position is considered a remote position, with the candidate needing to reside in the contiguous United States and be able to service clients across all North American time zones.

About the Role:
As our part-time Digital Marketing Manager, working 20 hours a week, you will join the North American team responsible for development and delivery of Digital Marketing strategies across paid search and paid social, as well as tracking and measuring results. This role will move to a full-time position June-September to cover someone going on leave. You will work on putting together comprehensive marketing audits and strategies, defining tactics used to achieve client goals, and presenting your findings directly to clients. With a keen focus on ROAS across paid search and paid social channels, the Digital Marketing Manager should also possess strong skills working within dedicated marketing automation platforms to support email & SMS marketing strategies on behalf of the client.
The perfect candidate will have at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience developing and executing digital marketing strategies either in an agency capacity or as an in-house employee of an eCommerce business. The ideal candidate should also bring strong experience utilizing various reporting and analytical platforms.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing and executing best-in-class digital marketing strategies across relevant platforms.
Maintaining expert-level understanding of marketing platforms and technology, supporting the development of the marketing scope of practice at Overdose.
Providing best-in-class recommendations to improve performance, ongoing management and optimization of digital campaigns on behalf of our clients.
Ensuring client reporting consistently produces actionable insights and measures the success of marketing strategies.
Supporting new business proposals by identifying opportunities across platforms and providing best-practice recommendations to improve outcomes
Partaking in scheduled reporting and strategy meetings with clients
Leveraging Overdose’s various project management tools and systems to track and monitor client tasks in a timely manner and ensuring effective monthly hours management.
Managing day-to-day client communications, and assisting with escalations.
Providing added support for Overdose’s leadership team as requested.
Highly proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint with the ability to analyze data and prepare reports presentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Self-motivation - you don’t need a lot of direction, and aren’t afraid to ask questions when you need a better understanding.
Excellent communication (written and verbal).
Good time management skills.
Comfortable providing recommendations with confidence to senior-level stakeholders and clients, even when there is ambiguity involved.
Work best with directional support rather than hand-holding.
Comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines.
Ability to think creatively and logically to develop bespoke strategies for your clients in line with their business objectives through analysis of data and industry trends.
Keen willingness to learn and grow within the team.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven marketing chops.
Data skills (analytics, reporting, Excel / Google Spreadsheets formulas): Important data skills for this role include analyzing data using pivot tables, using queries to find the data you are looking for quickly, and using formulas such as VLookup.
Technical skills (an understanding of how the web and Google works). This means you have a good sense (even if only conceptually) of what happens when someone presses enter in their web browser from a technical perspective.
Demonstrated digital marketing campaign management skills and email and SMS campaign and flow setup skills.
Proficient with tools and programs such as Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Ads Manager, Meta Ads, Klaviyo, Bloomreach…
Motivation, dedication, and curiosity.
Someone who loves learning new things, and admits when they don’t go as planned.
A demonstrated track record of increasing subscribers, traffic or revenue while managing and executing marketing campaigns.
Working knowledge of web development is a plus.
Hourly Rate & Benefits:
- The hourly rate for this role is $35-$45/hour. Pay is based on several factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skill level and experience.
