Founded in 2016, Overdose has grown out to a family of 400+ staff, with offices across New Zealand, Australia, South East Asia, Europe, and the USA. The opportunity :
Over the past two years, our small but dedicated People Team has achieved significant milestones. We've welcomed over 100 new faces, implemented essential HR tools such as our HRIS, ATS, and Global Payments platform, launched our Leadership Development Academy, and refined our company vision and values. As we continue on this journey, we eagerly seek opportunities to further enhance and expand our people function.
The People & Culture Partner takes on a multifaceted role, extending beyond traditional HR functions. Working closely with the People & Culture Director and other senior leaders, this role actively contributes to enhancing employee experiences throughout their lifecycle, including onboarding, learning and development, DE&I initiatives, culture, and engagement. Additionally, it oversees the efficiency of HR platforms like HiBob and Deel to maintain robust HR operations and foster a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities :
Support the implementation of HR initiatives and projects that drive positive organisational and team change.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Overdose leaders and the broader team to help identify and support key people needs.
Support effective people practices across New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia by leveraging local insights and HR regulations.
Contribute to the management of employee relations issues alongside relevant Directors, ensuring processes are in line with values, legislation and accepted industry practice.
Communicating effectively with senior stakeholders and employees, displaying empathy, understanding, diplomacy and discretion.
Respond to and resolve internal communications and requests in a timely manner.
Provide strategic people and culture support, advice and guidance to leadership teams.
Ownership of HiBob (HRIS) and Deel (Global Payments Platform), maintaining records and data accuracy, and ensuring optimal utilisation of each platform.
Development and execution of regular People Team tasks to maintain and improve people processes such as: issuing contracts, conducting exit interviews, gathering people data, reporting on insights and trends, conducting welcome calls and setting up performance review cycles.
Development and amendments of policies and other HR documentation.
Experience, skills and behaviours :
Ability to build strong connections with people in a professional, engaging and impactful way.
Prior experience contributing to key P&C projects that have positively impacted the employee lifecycle experience.
Proactive can-do attitude and approach to work.
Highly organised, with an ability to use initiative and prioritise effectively.
Experience generating reports and analytics on HR metrics, such as turnover, diversity and survey results.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently whilst maintaining strong attention to detail across internal tasks and communication.
Comfortable communicating and working with senior level stakeholders.
Ability to work autonomously and run with new ideas, tasks and projects.
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Demonstrating a growth mindset and eagerness to learn on the job.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, and adhere to time pressures and deadlines.
No ego mentality with an openness to giving and receiving feedback.
Nice to haves :
Experience with platforms HiBob and Deel.
An understanding of eCommerce or digital agency environments.
Prior experience supporting talent acquisition initiatives.
Experience working across various markets within APAC.
